Florida Conference on Recent Advances in Robotics

Conference Program

Conference Highlights

  • Registration fee for all paper authors and robotics showcase presenters is waived.

  • Keynote Speakers:

    • Andrew Goldenberg, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Mechanical Engineering, University of Toronto, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. "Evolution of Robotics: Technology & Related Business, Past, Present & Future"

    • Deborah Nagle, M.D., Medical Director, Endomechanical Franchise and Surgical Oncology, Johnson & Johnson. "The Evolution of Robotic Surgery"
  • The conference has run annually for the last 30 years, rotating among the Florida universities, and attracting the participation of most Florida robotics and automation researchers — faculty, graduate students and industry participants. The conference is also open to out of state participants.

  • The number of original papers each year is typically 25–50. In most years papers were reviewed based on abstract only to determine compatibility with the conference technical themes (see Call for Papers). There is no size limit on papers and no copyright imposed by the conference organization — papers may be submitted to other forums as well.
