Associate Professor Receives Robert L. Claudy Award/MAC

Award

Frederick Bloetscher, Ph.D., associate professor in the department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering at Florida Atlantic University has been presented with the Robert L. Claudy / MAC award from the Manufacturers/Associates Council of the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FSAWWA).

This award is named in the honor of Robert L. Claudy, who was a past Chair of the Florida Section AWWA and has dedicated his time and efforts in furthering the importance of water quality in the industry, community and the FSAWWA.

Bloetscher's research interests are in water and wastewater technology, groundwater wells, flow and contaminant transport, wastewater disposal practices and risk assessment, sustainable water resource planning and management,environmental engineering and utility management and finance.

The FSAWWA and MAC committee members present the award to candidates who have shown dedication, devotion, determination and professionalism in furthering the importance of water quality in the industry, community and the FSAWWA.
